After a cold night outside, a little taste of spring was in order. This is a Kalanchoe plant. Each delicate flower is the size of the tip of my little finger. Beautiful!
I love macro photography and I haven’t done any for some time. It’s nice to get up close and personal with the miracle of nature.
Tea and candy, anyone? It’s snowing outside and I love sitting down with a warm blanket and having tea along with something sweet.
Day two of my new photo challenge brings a beautiful snow queen hanging a silver star. The photo shoot was already set up and I had a fantastic time. This is one of what I hope will be several photos that really pop. The models were wonderful. It still needs a little work in Photoshop but I was really excited and wanted to give you a brief glimpse.
I really took some time to go through my Google Reader tonight and review some of my favorite blogs. It has been quite awhile since I did more than glance at the ever growing list.
What did I find? I found a stock photographer blogger that has posted a photo a day for the last year. His photos were amazing. I have friends that have worked on a 365 day challenge to do the same thing. Some of them have done really well with few interruptions. With life as crazy as it is, I’m not sure I can keep up with 365 days straight, but I can do better than I have in the past.
So, here it is. The first of what I hope will be 300+ days of pictures from now until December 2, 2012. I won’t promise the most beautiful of photos, but I will promise to keep it interesting.
Anyone else up for the challenge?
Yesterday, I met with several photographers to start what I hope will be an ongoing group meet-up. We met to shoot photos in downtown Denver. For a first time, we did really well. I’m happy with many of the shots that I got, most especially some of my favorite son. Love you, Travis!!
We’ve also started a Flickr group so we can share the photos of our gatherings. No pressure. No need for an expensive camera. We just want to get together with people who love photography. I’ll let you know when we plan another one.
